Last weekend I spent the afternoon with this beautiful couple, Kiera & Matt to celebrate their engagement and spend some time together getting to know each other in front of the camera. We chose to have the photo shoot at Shorncliffe near the jetty because it’s a gorgeous little spot which although can be very popular among families, is also an amazing place to relax and spend some time with that special person while taking a walk along the water.
We shared in a few laughs during their engagement session and got to know each other as the sun set over the water. The afternoon light as the sun is setting is just magical and looks amazing in photographs. It’s by far my favourite time to photograph simply because of the amazing light. When you’re planning your wedding always make sure to check the time the sun is due to set on your wedding date then allow 60-90 minutes before that time to make the most of that gorgeous golden glow of the afternoon light. It’ll give you the best light for some jaw-dropping wedding portraits. If you want a little extra time for portraits on your big day or have multiple locations then 2 hours may be required.
Kiera and Matt are finalising the last of their wedding planning before their big day in January 2018 where I’m so lucky to have been chosen by them to document their wedding as well at the Mon Komo at Redcliffe. I cannot wait for their wedding! Not much longer to go now guys x
All of my Wedding Packages include a COMPLIMENTARY Engagement Session so we can get to know each other before the big day. This way you and your fiance will feel comfortable knowing you don’t have a complete stranger photographing your wedding day and you feel more confident in front of the camera. Let’s face it, most of us are not used to being photographed by a photographer every day so it’s great to get a little practice run in and we capture some breathtaking images that show your love for each other.
Here’s a little glimpse into what we got up to during our afternoon together.
