Q// How far in advance do you take bookings & when should I be booking you?

A// Most couples will generally book around 12-18 months prior to their wedding. Although, the best thing to do is check our availability as soon as you have chosen your date. Popular months do fill fast and can book much earlier.

Q// Do you offer Engagement Sessions?

A// Yes! All our full day packages of 8 hours or more include an Engagement Session in the packages to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and with us. It’s also a great opportunity to see how we work. If you’re wanting to purchase a session separate to your package that’s fine also.

Q// Do you support Marriage Equality?

A//  Absolutely! We believe all love should be celebrated & no matter who you love you should have the opportunity to marry the special person you love! We would be honoured to photograph your same sex wedding!

Q// Does my package include preparation of the Bride & Groom?

A// In short, Yes! We offer packages of 8 hours or more coverage and even an 8 hour coverage can include some of the bride getting ready. During the morning while you are getting ready, we’ll be there doing our thing and doing our best to stay out of the way of everyone, capturing your day in an unobtrusive manner.

Q// Does Nicole Gordon Photography have Insurance?

A// Yes! Nicole Gordon Photography is covered for Public Liability Insurance as well as Insurance for all our equipment. We highly recommended you only select wedding suppliers who are covered for Public Liability Insurance. For any wedding supplier you are selecting for your wedding day we strongly encourage you ensure they have all the necessary requirements or you might find yourself with a a poor standard of work being produced on one of the most important days of your life so it is very important you select only those suppliers who are a Registered Business and have all the appropriate Insurances and that they are current.

Q// Do we need to provide a meal for the photographers?

A// Yes please! This is mentioned in your contract and it simply means we’re able to grab a bite to eat and a drink to refuel so we’re full of energy to continue photographing your wedding! We do ask that a meal and a softdrink be provided for your photographers and if you can seat us close to the action so we are able to quickly return to photographing your wedding and not miss a thing. If we are seated away from the action, it means we are unable to know what is happening and if we are required to capture anything.

Q// When can I expect to receive my photos?

A// We’ll post a sneak peak on Social Media within 24-48 hours of your wedding so you can share your first professional photo with family & friends. We will post a small album on our Facebook Page also for you to share with family & friends while we’re busy editing your images. We aim to have your photos finished and delivered within 4-6 weeks, however during very busy peak seasons we aim to deliver your finished images in no more than 6-8 weeks. We pride ourselves on doing our best to deliver reasonable turn-around times while taking care with your images to ensure they are edited properly & professionally.

Q// Can I print my photos myself?

A// You sure can! You will receive 2 folders on your usb which will contain a High Resolution Folder for printing & a Low Resolution Folder for sharing on your social media.

Q// Do you require a deposit & how does payment work?

A// Yes we do require a deposit. We require a deposit of $500 to secure your date and this is due at the time of booking. Once your signed contract is received the date is yours! Full payment at the time of booking is always appreciated and we offer our clients who do pay in full a complimentary 8×10 Art Mount as our gift to them using an image of their choice from their engagement session or 1 extra hour coverage. If you do not wish to pay in full at the time of booking, the balance is due 30 days prior to the date of your wedding. Payment plans are available by request.

Q// What happens if it rains on our wedding day?

A//  We’ll do everything we can on the day to keep you as dry as possible. This is something that we’ll usually discuss at our meeting to have an alternate location for photos should it rain on the day. There is also the bonus of some amazing photos we can capture in the rain, whilst using umbrellas of course.

Q// Do you photograph other events such as Engagement Parties, Birthdays etc?

A// Absolutely! We’d love to be part of any event you’d like us to photograph! It means we have even more time to get to know each other before the Wedding Day by photographing your Engagement Party and you’ll get an idea of the style of photographs you can expect on your wedding day. If you’d like us to photograph your Engagement Party and Wedding Day, ask us for a Multi-Booking Discount! We can even photograph your Birthday Party or any other special event, just ask us for a quote.
